Biography

Ryo Kawasaki, MD, PhD, is a Professor in the Division of Medicine, Graduate School of Medicine at Osaka University, and is affiliated with the Division of Public Health, Department of Social Medicine. He previously served as Professor at the Artificial Intelligence Center for Medical Research and Application at Osaka University Hospital. His research interests include public health, preventive medicine, epidemiology, and the application of artificial intelligence and data science in medicine, with a particular focus on diabetic retinopathy and ophthalmic diseases. Professor Kawasaki is actively involved in interdisciplinary research and holds leadership roles in multiple national and international academic societies.
