Biography

Prof Weihong Zhang is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Public Health, Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium. She is Vice President of the Belgian Chinese Professionals Association and Vice President of the Belgian Federation of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

She has served as an expert reviewer for EU Horizon 2020 Public Health Projects and EU-China Cooperation Special Projects. She was a member of the Overseas Expert Committee of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council (2014-2017) and a consultant for the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee of the 13th Beijing Municipal Committee (2018-2022).

In 2017, she was selected as one of the first batch of 10 "Beijing Overseas Academicians and Experts" (the only female among them). She has published in top international journals including the British Medical Journal as first author or corresponding author.
