Guangjun Yu, is currently an clinical Professor, PhD supervisor, Associate Dean of the School of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Director of National Health Data Institute, Shenzhen, President of The Second Affiliated Hospital of CUHK-Shenzhen. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Information Committee of the Chinese Hospital Association, the Chairman of the Precision Medical Committee of the China Maternal and Child Health Association, the Vice Chairman of the Pediatric Health Committee of the Pediatric Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the Vice Chairman of the Pediatrics Committee of the Chinese Society of Research Hospitals, etc. In 2015, In 2015, he received the Special Government Allowance from The State Council and was selected as a leading talent in Shanghai in the same year. In 2020, he was selected for the national ten thousand talent program and was awarded the title of outstanding young and middle-aged expert by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. Prof. Yu’ s main research areas over the past decade have been pediatrics, medical big data, internet medical services, smart hospitals, and artificial intelligence in healthcare. He has led more than twenty national, provincial, and municipal projects, including one major project from the Ministry of Science and Technology’s 863 Program, one major integration project and three general projects from the National Natural Science Foundation, one project under the National Major Science and Technology Special Project, and etc. In 2013, he won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. In 2017, he received the second prize for scientific and technological innovation from the Chinese Hospital Association. In 2020, he received the first prize for scientific and technological innovation from the Shanghai Hospital Association. In 2021, he received the Magnolia Award for outstanding work with children in Shanghai. In 2022, he received the Science and Technology Award for Health Management from the Chinese Medical Association. He has published over 150 papers in both Chinese and English in domestic and international journals as the corresponding author or first author and has edited over 10 monographs. He also has obtained five patents in areas such as pediatric artificial intelligence.
