Prof. Yuanli Liu

Dr. LIU Yuanli is a Councilor of the State Council and Professor of Health Policy and Management at Peking Union Medical College, where he served as the founding Dean of the School of Public Health and School of Health Policy and Management respectively from 2013 to 2023.

He worked at Harvard School of Public Health from 1993 to 2023, and served as a research scientist at the Department of Health Policy and Management (1993-1999) and as a faculty member at the Department of Global Health (2000-2013).

He served on the UN Millennium Development Taskforce (2001-2002). He also served as President of the Chinese Aging Well Association from 2017 to 2021. He was closely involved in the development work of the national as well as international (ISO) standard for an elderly-friendly digital economy.

He published 10 books and over 400 articles, and is frequently featured on the Stanford World's Top 2% Scientists list.
